“He was very uplifting. He was funny and positive. He made sure that what he was saying appealed to us and that we understood the importance of pushing ourselves to our goals.”
“He never gave up. He was a pretty funny guy too. He was also very passionate.”
“Al Foxx was very inspiring to me. He taught me to accept myself for who I am, not what I was or will be.”
“I learned that sometimes you don’t get things right the first time….to never give up.”
“Al Foxx was an impressive motivational speaker. He proved every doctor that worked on him wrong.
They said he wouldn’t walk, talk, or drive a car but he is now doing all 3 and is getting better.
Winners don’t quit.”
“Al Foxx. Wise metaphors. Really made me think,
left an impression. Funny.”
“I admired Al Foxx. Some inspirational speakers talk about things they’ve seen happen to other people but Al Foxx actually spoke from his experience so he was real; genuine. I loved the way he incorporated humor with his past situations, that was funny. My favorite quote, “Thy will, not mine, be done.”
“Al Foxx is a funny man with lots of enthusiasm. I learned that if something is bothering you, you can change it. He helped me realize that I have a pretty good life.
P.S. Thank You!”
“Al Foxx was not afraid to admit that he is not like the rest of us, only he made it funny. I enjoyed listening to his stories and could understand him just fine! Thank you for making our retreat fun.”
“He was great and would never quit. He always had a few jokes and stories to keep us interested. He was very inspiring, never quitting even with the odds against him.”
“Al Foxx was very compassionate about his talk to Christian children.”
“He was very inspirational. His story touched my heart. His “Don’t Quit” speech was the only thing keeping me going on the rock wall.”

Dear Al
Thank you so much for coming to our Health classes. The students were so very touched by your courage, wisdom and commitment to your physical and emotional health. They said that they felt overwhelmed by your conviction to be a "Winner’. They all loved the power of your speech therapist’s words:’ ‘Winners don’t Quit!". You are a living hero to all of us struggling with our own ability to reach our personal goals and stay committed to them. Our students were struck by how menial their own personal goals were in comparison to yours. They would leave class saying "If Al can reach his goals and be the winner in life that he is, then I can ,TOO!. You give your audience hope and confidence that they thought they never had.
I look forward to having you come to our classes throughout the year. Our mission in Health is to be good to ourselves and accomplish our personal goals. You motivated us all to look at all we can become and do for others as we help ourselves accomplish our goals in the areas of physical, emotional and spiritual health. We have you to thank for touching that part of our hearts that motivates us to be better people inside and out.
Thank you, Al. Please read these notes an letters of thanks from our students. We look forward to seeing you again in our Health classes.
Sincerely,
Jolene Boyle, Counselor

Quotes from Students at Seattle Preparatory School
"We hear a lot of the 'never give up on your dreams' speech, but it was definitely more effective coming from someone who really knows and cares about what he’s saying. He is a great example of the power of personal choice. Al has turned a negative into a positive in some of the best ways possible. He is teaching kids the lessons he learned the hard way. I believe he is a more complete and successful person now."
"The biggest help for me will be the persistence and stubborn attitude I will strive to maintain about my goals, and to be accepting of myself and others."

"Your presentation is actually having an effect on the way that I think versus others that I forget immediately. You really drilled one point into my head, "Winners don’t quit! This has kept me on a personal goal I have set in my life, which is great for me personally. You were the most unique and interesting speaker I’ve ever seen and so your speech stuck in my head. I usually never listen to these but I definitely was hooked. Excellent job!"

Al Foxx has been speaking to the Sophomore Health classes at Seattle Prep for the past 6 years. The students have benefited greatly from the experience of meeting Al Foxx. Al is one of a kind and leaves a lasting impact on the students at Seattle Prep. When Al is on campus, the juniors and seniors acknowledge and welcome his presence, reflecting from the encounter they had in their sophomore year with him. He is truly loved by our students. His personal story, mixed with humor, engages every student. He is a true example of a winner. His message of goal setting, hard work, self-esteem and die-hard perseverance are imprinted on us all. The students take these lessons and can immediately apply them to their lives. I would highly recommend Al Foxx as a motivating and inspirational speaker to any group.
Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:
We recently had the pleasure of hearing Al Foxx speak for our 6th-10th grade Chapel. Al Foxx has a powerful testimony concerning God working in impossible situations. God spared his life when he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Doctors told him that he would never walk, talk, or drive again. Al is living proof of God's miraculous, restoring power.
Al's wit and heart felt approach were very effective. Al challenged the students to be "winners that don't quit". He exhorted them to look at what they have, rather than what they don't have. He encouraged them to have a vision for their life and set goals to accomplish their dreams.
I strongly recommend Al Foxx as a Chapel speaker. He is an inspiration to all that have the pleasure of hearing him speak.

Dear Mr. Fox,
Thank you so much for coming to Master’s Touch. We truly enjoyed having you here and what you had to share greatly touched our lives. What a testimony you are of God’s powerful work in a person’s life. You have gone through so much and can truly identify with other’s pain.
You were so right when you said we’ll all have our own “crash.” Jesus said, “You will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, have overcome the world.” You are an overcomer!
Thank you also for taking the time to minister to our students after chapel. You were such an encourager. One student said “he made me laugh for the first time in a long time.” I can assure you that that young lady has had tremendous struggles in “belonging.” She along with several others, have never known their real parents... and that weighs heavy upon them.
Thank you also for your incredible positive approach to life...”use what God has given you.” How true. You said so much in saying that!
You’ve definitely made an impression on my life. I truly pray that many more doors will continue to open to you ... You are such a blessing!
In Jesus Love,

Dear Al:
Thanks for coming and sharing your personal experience in such an inspirational talk. The kids really liked your presentation. There was a good balance between humor and the importance of setting goals, making good choices and never quitting. Your message was powerful and the humor captivated their interest. Your message was of particular interest to me because of knowing you as a former student. It is encouraging to see former students committed to making a difference in other young peoples' lives.
A week later I still here students saying; "WINNERS don't quit! Winners DON'T quit! Winners don't QUIT!" Several of the students have asked if you could come back some time in the future. More comments were made as follows:
"The most important thing I learned is that "Winners Don't Quit."
"The two most important things I learned are, Choices are powerful and "Winners Don't Quit."
"By his stories and his life experiences, I learned that you can do anything you set your mind and heart to and don't give up. I thought he was the best speaker I've heard in a long time because he has so much self confidence to make all those funny jokes."
"Winners Don't Quit! Al Foxx's presentation helped me in my life."
"The phrase "Winners Don't Quit!" really got to me. I will always remember it. He was very funny. I'd like to hear him again."
"Choices are powerful! Doing drugs is stupid!! Winners Don't Quit!"
"I think Al FOXX was the best comedian I've ever seen in person."
"Life is what you make it. Al FOXX is so positive, he is a real inspiration."
"Al Foxx's story was real inspiring and extremely funny. I hope he speaks at our graduation."
Thanks again for coming and sharing with us.
Sincerely,

Quotes from Students
I haven’t been reading my Bible very much and I know I need to, and you have inspired me to. I also know that even if I stumble, I need to keep trying to serve God with all of my heart. You have deeply influenced me to live a more Christian life and I know you have influenced many others and will continue on influencing others.

Thank you for speaking at our school. We had a lot of good laughs. It was really fun. I enjoyed listening to you. I believe all of what you said, we have a lot of good and bad things in this world, but you have to put the good product in if you want something wonderful to come out. I call that plan God’s recipe. It was really wonderful. Thanks again!
Chelsee B.
P.S. your jokes were great!
Thanks a lot for coming and sharing your experiences with us. I found them very entertaining and it puts things in perspective. Also, you haven’t wasted your life, you have taken something bad and turned in around for God. I believe that there was a reason for your crash and I think that you are following through with God’s new plan for your life along with changing other people’s lives and bringing them to Christ. Anyway, I want you to know that you’ve made me think a little more about the material things of this world vs. the spiritual things of God. Thank you. I wish my mother could have been here to hear you.
Come back soon.

Thank you so much for taking time to preach to us today. It meant a lot to me. you taught me that I should be grateful for everything I have and for the way I am cause my life could change in a second. You also taught me I need to keep my eyes on Jesus and to not get distracted. Thank you again and God bless.

Dear Mr. Foxx,
I just wanted to write and thank you for coming and speaking at our school. The kids enjoyed your presentation and you definitely made an impact on their lives. I know because even after the assembly ended and it was time to go home, they were still talking about you and how you motivated and reinforced them in a positive way.
Our staff also liked how you incorporated spiritual values and faith into your talk to reinforce the values that we teach here. Thank you again for coming here. We all really appreciated your time and message.
