Winners Don’t Quit
Regardless of what age they are or what they are doing, confidence gives people the edge they need to do their best. First Al tells students how a paralyzing motorcycle crash stole his self-confidence and how he learned to restore his confidence by using the tools he shares to fill his own and others’ “self-esteem buckets.” Al shares the power of goals and how he relearned to talk, walk, and drive. Al says “Life is like a book.” His message is that we are all authors. By having a Winners Don’t Quit attitude and Caring about others, we can all write happy endings.

Winners Don’t Quit
Regardless of what age they are or what they are doing, the more confident people are the better they do. Al Foxx tells how a paralyzing motorcycle crash stole his self-confidence and how he learned to restore confidence by filling your own and others’ “self-esteem buckets.” Al shares the power of goals and how he relearned to talk, walk, and drive. “Life,” he says, “is like a book.” His message is: Your life is a book. You are the author. Write a happy ending. With clean humor and stories, Al shows students how to win at life.
By following the sometimes vivid and sometimes hilarious description of Al’s motorcycle accident and his continuing rehabilitation, students of every age learn:
How you feel about yourself is more powerful than having strong muscles.
How to make positive additions to the self-esteem bucket.
How to be happy with yourself and others.
How to make and keep friends.
How to see problems as challenges not calamities.
How to make choices that lead to rewards instead of consequences.
The value of a good laugh and a sense of humor.
